Screens and timers are tools you leave open: a black screen to turn a monitor into a dark panel, a white screen to check a display or use as a light, a countdown for cooking or a workout, a stopwatch for laps, a full-screen clock for a desk, white noise for focus or sleep. Each one goes full screen with a single click and tells you how to leave. Where the browser allows it, the page asks to keep the screen awake so a timer does not end in a locked phone. Alarm sounds are generated with the browser's audio engine, so there are no audio files to download, and volume is adjustable. Timers keep counting in the tab title, so you can switch to another tab and still see the time. The controls hide themselves while you are not moving the mouse and come back on touch or movement. Everything works offline once the page has loaded.
Common questions
Why does the screen turn off while a timer is running?
Phones and laptops dim or lock the screen after a period without input. The timers request the browser's wake lock, which keeps the screen on while the tab is visible. Some browsers do not support it or block it in low-power mode; in that case the timer still finishes and rings, but the screen may lock.
Does the timer keep running if I switch tabs?
Yes. The countdown continues in the background and the remaining time is shown in the tab title. When it ends, the alarm plays if the browser allows audio in background tabs. For the most reliable alarm, keep the tab in the foreground or on a second screen.
