Read a timetable, check an appointment, or turn an AM/PM time into the format used on a ticket. Enter a time with hours and minutes, choose the conversion direction, and see the equivalent immediately. The reference table lists all 24 hours, with midnight and noon clearly marked. Minutes stay the same in both formats. This tool changes the way a time is written; it does not move it to another time zone or calculate a duration.
How to use

What it handles
- Treats 12:00 AM as midnight and 12:00 PM as noon.
- Accepts lowercase am/pm, with an optional space before the suffix.
- Requires two minute digits; 24-hour input also requires two hour digits.
- Keeps a complete hourly reference available even without JavaScript.
FAQ
Is 12 AM midnight or noon?
12:00 AM is midnight, written 00:00 on the 24-hour clock. 12:00 PM is noon and stays 12:00. During the rest of the midnight hour, 12:30 AM becomes 00:30; during the noon hour, 12:30 PM stays 12:30. If a date matters, state it explicitly alongside midnight so the reader knows which day begins at that time.
Which time formats can I enter?
For 12-hour input, use hours from 1 to 12, a colon, two minute digits and AM or PM: 9:05 AM and 09:05am both work. For 24-hour input, use exactly HH:MM from 00:00 to 23:59. Seconds, time-zone suffixes, 24:00 and shorthand such as 9 PM are rejected. Surrounding spaces are ignored, and the input limit is 128 characters.
Does conversion change the time zone or save my time?
Only the clock notation changes; the date, time zone and actual moment are not calculated or shifted. The last input and direction are remembered in this browser, and Clear removes the input. The page query also contains the value and direction, so a shared link reveals them to its recipient. The table shows whole hours; use the single converter when your time includes minutes.
