One minute is the length of a plank, a round of speed reading, a set of push-ups or the wait before you take the tea bag out. This page opens on sixty seconds, so a single press is all it takes. The alarm is loud enough to hear from the other side of a room, and Repeat keeps it going if you have walked away. If you want a different length, change the fields and the page becomes a timer for that instead. Everything happens in the browser, with nothing to install and nothing sent anywhere.
How to use
- Press Start. The minute begins straight away.
- Press Go fullscreen for a countdown you can read across the room.
- Press Reset for another minute, or Pause to hold it.
What it handles
- Opens on sixty seconds, so there is nothing to set up before the first press.
- Counts down from the clock, so a minute is a minute even when the tab is in the background.
- Repeat keeps the alarm ringing when a minute is too short to stay at the screen.
FAQ
Is one minute exact?
The countdown ends at a fixed clock time worked out when you press Start, so it does not drift with a slow page or a busy tab. What can move is the alarm: if the browser has suspended the tab, the sound arrives when the tab wakes up. On screen the last second is shown as 00:01 and the alarm fires when it reaches zero.
Can I use it without sound?
Yes. Pull the volume slider down to zero and the minute runs silently; the countdown, the tab title and the fullscreen view all still work. That is the setting for a library, a shared office or a sleeping child in the next room. The volume you choose is remembered on this device for the next time you open the page.
How do I run a minute again and again?
Press Reset and then Start for each round; the page keeps the same minute until you change it. For intervals where you do not want to touch the screen between rounds, turn Repeat on so the alarm keeps ringing until you stop it, which is easier to hear during exercise than a single beep.
